The East Midtown Association is Manhattan’s newest Business Improvement District, covering 48 blocks of Midtown Manhattan, including Bloomingdale’s and the Roosevelt Island Tram Plaza. The EMA supplements city sanitation, security and homeless outreach efforts; beautifies the streetscape;  and provides marketing assistance —including a community shopping guide and web site —  for the 5,000 businesses in the district.
